Of course, they offered to cut and polish ($20 a carot) to which we just took are ordinary plain looking rocks and went home. We just picked all of them out and took them in. We also tried looking for rubys to which the worker said, "Look for dark blue stones." Well almost all of them looked dark blue when wet. I had to repeatedly go into the store to get him to ask him for help as he just handed us a bag of dirt, gave a quick demo and disappeared to go smoke. Getting the right technique down and knowing what you are looking for takes some time. Obviously they must have been tired after a busy weekend or something because the the young man working there was not interested in helping us. My son was looking forward to "panning for gold." We were the first ones there on a Monday morning.
